About the Role

We are looking for a VP R&D to lead our core technology organization, spanning algorithms/Deep development and software engineering, and to drive the evolution of our product from cutting-edge technology into a scalable, production-ready system.

You will lead multiple SW, Algo, Deep Research, and QA groups, ensuring tight integration between research, system architecture, and product delivery. The role requires balancing deep technical understanding with strong execution and product-business thinking.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of the company’s core product, from concept to production and continuous improvement
• Translate company goals into clear R&D execution plans, priorities, and milestones
• Drive fast, high-quality execution across algorithm and software teams, ensuring predictable delivery
• Ensure tight alignment between R&D, product, and business objectives
• Turn complex algorithmic capabilities into scalable, reliable, customer-facing features
• Establish and enforce execution processes, KPIs, and accountability across teams
• Continuously improve time-to-delivery, product quality, and development efficiency
• Make trade-off decisions between speed, quality, and scope to meet business needs
• Work closely with leadership to define product roadmap and technical strategy
• Build a strong feedback loop from customers, field performance, and data → into R&D priorities
• Identify risks early and proactively remove execution bottlenecks
• Hire, structure, and develop teams to support scalable growth and delivery

Must-Haves

• Proven experience leading complex software, algorithmic & AI R&D groups
• Strong track record of delivering products in scale
• +5 years of leadership experience in R&D / engineering roles
• Startup experience (early-stage or growth-stage) – must understand pace, ambiguity, and ownership
• Strong system-level thinking and ability to handle complex architectures
